EQ: What does it mean to be an insider or an outsider
Within the story of 'The Lesson' there is significant difference between those of the social classes. Although none of the people of 'higher' class are there, they find themselves differentiated by the toys at the toy shop. This makes them feel different from those of the higher class. This make them feel like they are the outsiders in the world of the rich. Just like how a person of different status may feel like an outsider in their world.
