Dear Brother Response

When Bernice Friesen created a character like Sharlene she made her easy to connect with. For the people in high school, those don’t really want to go to continue their education in post secondary. Also for those who want to travel and those who wish to not continue with school. I for one am pressured into planning for University, it’s not that I don’t wish to go, but the stress is overwhelming. We all have the days, where we just don’t know where we’re going, but Sharlene knows where she wants to go. It’s just that because of her dad insistence that she is unwilling to tell him the truth. That she wishes not to follow in her older brother’s footsteps but rather pave her own road. It relates to us because each one of us wants to go down our own road and not one paved by others.

  1. You did a phenomenal job showing how Sharlene's character not only related to you, but was relative to so many other people as well. Like your line that says, "We all have the days, where we just don't know where we're going" is the simple truth, and that's it. I like how after that line you related it back to Sharlene with how she actually knew where she was going, but was just too afraid to tell her father. Polish - watch for some grammar mistakes, Praise - How it is so relative to everyone, Ponder - What road do you want to go on, Lulu?
